Many are ex-forces, some are ex-cadets and the rest are straight off civvy street.

All adult members of the Army Cadets are volunteers and are not liable for military call up. However, we are proud of our relationship with the British Army and follow the same rank structure. There are two types of Army Cadets adult volunteer: Adult Instructors (known as AIs) and Army Cadets Officers. The main purpose of the Cadet Training Centre is to train the volunteer Officers and Adult Instructors of both the ACF and CCF, teaching them to train their cadets safely and to inspire them in new ways of conducting training. We do this by running a range of courses throughout the year.
